Simile Daily Challenge

Today we were looking at different types of figurative language to support your upcoming narrative writing. For your daily challenge tonight, you need to fill in the blanks to complete the similes.

Week of October 17th

Congratulations to everyone for the wonderful job on your social studies presentations. They were well done!

Week Ahead: Literacy- Recount- Good copy due on Wednesday- submit through google docs Starting narratives We are continuing looking at the reading strategies and applying them to our novel Word Nerd

Daily Challenge:See if you can guess the name of the next chapter using the letters below:

Math- Name of the game round 7- practice those times tables - Data management - focusing on graphing skills - scatter plot, double bar etc.

 Social Studies- Looking at the connection Canada has with the USA - Identifying world issues and categorizing them under the 4 lenses (political, economical, social and environmental) -On Thursday this week students will be receiving a review for a social studies test - will be posted on the blog :)

Daily Challenge

Wow! What a week it has been. The presentations have been fabulous and some DELICIOUS food has been brought it. Thank you all so much for your ongoing support. The Week Ahead & Reading and Word Challenge

Thank you!

It was such a pleasure meeting all of you last night at "meet the teacher." I can see why your kids are so great, because they have such supportive parents behind them. I really appreciate all your support as well. I wanted to wish each and everyone of you a Happy Thanskgiving. I am so thankful to teach at such a wonderful school with amazing students.
