Math- We are finishing up our patterning unit -We will have our unit test on Tuesday (November 29th) - A review will be completed on Friday and one will be posted over the weekend
Literacy- Reading - We are working on the different reading strategies through guided reading - Continue logging those reading minutes
Writing- We are finishing up our narrative unit - we will be doing some self assessment and peer assessment for the remainder of the week
Science- We will be presenting our animal kingdoms charts
-Investigating the fungi and Monera kingdoms
- Our school engineer will be coming in on Thursday to do a water filtration experiment

-If you think that you and your partner will not be done on time, you can complete some research at home and bring it in

Weekly Update & Daily Challenge
Hi Everyone,
Thank you to
everyone who had a chance to come out and support our class during the
Remembrance Day assembly. The presentations were very well done and presented
with a respectful tone. We have yet another busy week in our classroom as we
are preparing for our upcoming student lead conferences. Slips have already
gone home to remind you of your date and time. Each interview is scheduled for
a fifteen minute interval. If you need a reminder, please just send a note in your child's agenda.
Here are a few
things that we are working on this week in our classroom
Math- We are exploring
the explicit patterning rule
-We will be
looking at different ways to solve word problems involving patterning
Literacy- Today we
started our new class novel "Ghost Ride"
-We are working through the APE format (Answer, Prove, Extend) to respond to questions involving different reading strategies
- Students are
working on a point view assignment connected to Remembrance Day in the form of a letter
- We will be
completing a summative assessment in our narrative unit -Students will be given
a prompt and asked to develop a plot line
Science- We are
continuing to work through our biodiversity unit -This week students will begin
a mini research on one of the kingdoms

REMINDER
Hi Everyone,
Just a friendly reminder of the agenda for tomorrow. We will do our best to make sure assemblies will begin right on time. We are right near the beginning of the program. Also, dress in black if possible. Poppies will be given out tomorrow. Remember, to bring a change of clothes for our outdoor science activity in the afternoon.
Also, once you arrive to school in the morning, please come right away to the gym for a quick practice with the stage.
Group 1 - Alex, Bobbi, Ashley, Rebecca, Katie, Maddy, Lindsay, Camryn, Sarah, Abby, Kaylen- Will be performing at the 9:30 a.m. assembly for the primary division
