A BUSY Week

Happy Monday Everyone,

Just wanted to give a quick update on the week ahead

Agenda Notes:
Remembrance Day Assemblies on Friday- check out previous post for times and groups
Cookie Dough pick up date is Wed Nov 9, 3:35-7 p.m. One night only.
Van Go Art form - please return ASAP

  Science:
Thursday- Will be working with an engineer on a hands on project that is linked into our biodiversity unit- focusing specifically on the impact of an oil spill
Friday- SURVIVOR- We will be participating in an interactive outdoor game that is linked with our biodiversity unit  – please dress appropriately  **Students who are preforming at the Remembrance Day may want to bring a change of clothes  

Literacy-
Writing - We will be working through the revision process over the next couple of days with our Halloween narratives. -Then we will be moving into some letter writing, which be tied to Remembrance Day
Reading- focusing on the APE method to respond the text - We finished our novel Word Nerd - We will be beginning our class novel "Ghost Ride" which will fall under the mystery genre.

Math- Starting our patterning unit this week

a) I am the seventh number in the following sequence of numbers: 1,4, 9, 16.....

b) I am the sixth in the following sequence of numbers: 1, 3, 7, 15.......
What number am I?

c) Edgar does sit-ups daily. On Monday, he did 20 sit ups. On Tuesday, he did 30. He did 50 sit ups on Wednesday and 90 on Thursday. If he continues this pattern, Edgar will do an impressive number of sit ups on Saturday. What number of sit ups will he do?
