Thank you for the warm welcome I have received as I've moved into my role as the new teacher in Mrs. Breau's class. It has been a pleasure to teach in the class for the last three weeks and I am looking forward to learning with you in the weeks and months to come.
Parents/Guardians: I have been able to connect with almost everyone on the phone or in person, but if I wasn't able to get a hold of you when I phoned on Friday to introduce myself, please know that you can always feel free to contact me at the school. If you have any questions or if there is anything you'd like to discuss with me, don't hesitate to call.
Wrapping up some things...
- Last week, we finished the class novel, "Undergrounders." Today, students were given a follow-up assignment which we will be working on during language periods all week. It is due on Friday.
- We finished the Alien Projects and students shared their aliens with their peers. Students also wrote a science test which will be returned this week. Today, students began writing scripts and practicing to film informative yet engaging videos about space topics that have been covered throughout the unit.
Here are a few things coming up this week...
- Wednesday
- Fractions "Quest" (equivalent fractions, simplifying fractions, improper fractions, and mixed numbers - review daily quizzes and notes in math notebooks to prepare)
- Thursday
- EQAO math practice activity
- Friday
- "Undergrounders" assignment due
- Space video viewing
Have a wonderful evening!
Mrs. Matheson
